Delta Science "Cruizes the Delta"

As always, Delta's Science Department never misses an opportunity to promote science.  At Louisiana Blood Center and Delta Community College's first ever Cruz' N the Delta, the science department provided participants with authentic fossil digging and sifting with 40 million year old shark teeth, face painting, and tattoos.  We had a great time.  Some of the students and professors even rode " 'Da Bull" to demonstrate that all objects, including themselves, do fall at the rate of 9.8 meters per second squared.  Enjoy the photos below as much as we enjoyed the event.  We also found out that Professor Green is actually an artist.  Check out the face painting of the Corky's Pig she painted....WOW!  And please don't forget to see the mechanical bull demo by SCIQUEST president Chip Rawls and Professor Dunn.

OK, All objects really do fall at 9.8 meters per second squared!
Just look at the results from Chip Rawls (top row)
and Professor Dunn (bottom row).....

GRAVITY RULES!
