Site #1 - The sample in Sterlington was taken at the boat ramp approximately 1/4 mile upstream from the Louisiana Highway 2 Bridge. While ideally the sample should have been taken from the center of the bridge, heavy traffic, including large trucks, prevented safe passage onto the bridge as it has no walkway. The sample was taken from a distance of approximately 10 meters from the edge of the water.
