Blanket Under the Stars 2

Postponed by stormy weather the prior week, Blanket Under the Stars 2 went without a hitch on the ULM campus behind Malone Stadium.  Some 25 people showed up to view the celestial spectacle.  Four of the five visible planets were observed.  Perhaps the highlight of the event was the viewing of an iridium flare from an overhead satellite.  Right on time, at 8:47 PM CDT, the reflection of the sun on the panel of an iridium satellite brightened just below Polaris.  It was great!  Below are some of the photos taken at the event.  The photos of Jupiter and Saturn below were taken at the event.
